The structure of diisopropyl xanthogen polysulphide is completely free from nitrogen, phosphorus and metallic elements.
diisopropyl xanthogen polysulphide is a FDA approved accelerator for use in NR, synthetic polyisoprene and NBR where formation of N-Nitrosamines and Type IV allergens from conventional accelerators are of prime concern. The vulcanisates obtained with diisopropyl xanthogen polysulphide are transparent and free from copper staining.
AS100 is recommended for use as a primary and secondary accelerator in the presence of low levels of sulphur. It also acts as a sulphur donor.
AS100 synergises most effectively with other accelerators particularly TBzTD, MBTS and TBBS either in the presence or absence of elemental sulphur
