Additin® RC 8500 equivalent.Antihydrolysis agent RC 8500 is an effective hydrolytic stabilizer and acid scavenger for different types of ester fluids and especially for ester based lubricants.as a result of the attack of water on esters acidic compounds are formed.they accelerate the ester decomposition even if they are present in catalytically small amount.due to its unique structure Antihydrolysis agent RC 8500 is capable of binding organic and inorganic acids(such as oleic acid).furthermore,it does not react with water.

As an effective hydrolytic stabilizer and acid scavenger for different types of ester fluids and especially for ester based lubricants it can solve the following problems and increase the life time of ester lubricants considerably accordingly:

  • Rapid increase of “total acid number” in the presence of water

  • Corrosive wear of metal alloys containing lead,tin,zinc

  • Thickening/sludge formation caused by the formation of metal soaps

  • Problem of the remaining oil and high TAN in a lube system after oil change


Dosage: 0.3%~1.5%


Advice:

  • Avoid using acidic compounds in order not to adversely affect the effect of Antihydrolysis agent RC 8500

  • Antihydrolysis agent RC 8500 melts above 40℃ and is then easily blended into esters.the misture should be kept at 80℃ for one hour in order to reduce the original TAN of the base ester and to ensure maximum effectivity of Antihydrolysis agent RC 8500.

Shelf life:
1 years at least if stock in above conditions;


Transportation:

Antihydrolysis agent RC 8500 is not dangerous goods according to transportation regulation.
